Kristen Heritage is a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist. Working predominantly in acrylic paint and machine embroidery, Heritage’s work takes an irreverent lens to the anxieties and preoccupations of everyday life, drawing inspiration from the narrative conventions and playful visual language of medieval manuscript painting. Heritage received a BFA in Fibers with a minor in Art History from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Heritage has attended the ChaNorth Artist Residency in New York’s Hudson Valley, and 33 Officina Creativa residency in Toffia, Italy, and has exhibited work in group shows in New York City and Savannah, Georgia.
