Kylin O'Brien is a multidisciplinary artist with degrees in Philosophy from Vassar College, in Tibetan Studies from the School for International Training, and in Art and Design from Leeds in the UK. She has participated in exhibitions internationally and has had numerous solo exhibitions. She has participated in events at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn International Performance Art Festival, and the 56th International Art Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia. Kylin has created public work during Art Basel Miami, as part of a large-scale public works project nationwide, and has been seen, featured, and talked about in The New Yorker, Brooklyn Magazine, Artsy, rxArt, Art in America, The Huffington Post, NPR, Gothamist and Flavorwire, among others.
Kylin is an energy channel and priestess whose work employs ancient symbolism, ritualistic activation, transformative transmission, natural and supernatural processes, the physics of math, space and material, light language encoding, sacred geometry, energy medicine, and crystalline infusion. Her work harnesses and highlights the magical and medicinal potency of quantum realities and belief-empowered contexts.
