PARADICE PALASE is pleased to host MY FAVORITE HEARTBREAK, the first solo presentation of work by New York based artist Mitchell Reece. Consisting of sculpture, video installation, painting, the show engages the lives of political prisoners, figures of activism, and the state of America’s many beautiful yet undervalued Black communities. Initially birthed as a self made publication, My Favorite Heartbreak delves into the lives of Assata Shakur, Leonard Peltier, Malcolm X, and other martyrs of social justices. Corresponding to the eras of the 1930’s and 1960’s,MFHB aims to translate how far we think we’ve come while paying homage to many who fought to achieve equality and prosperity.
