Her first experiments with color and movement began with weaving on large floor looms while translating the rhythms of Techno and House music into the physical movements required of operating the loom and visual translations of the music quickly ensued. She combines use of ancient ancestral technology such as the back strap loom and extraction of color from natural dyes with her interest in modern dance music to create works characterized by the playfulness, disorderliness and anxiety of modern life.
