Throughout the intensive, each participant will propose 3-4 artists whose work they believe merits exhibition. Working in cohorts, participants will engage in thoughtful dialogue and group decision-making to curate a cohesive body of work, supported by a unifying curatorial statement.
Led by experienced curators, biweekly over the course of 3 months, the intensive provides a detailed framework and timeline to navigate every stage of the exhibition process: artist selection, promotional strategies, artwork transport, presentation design, special events, and install/de-install logistics. This structure empowers participants with the organizational tools and professional insight needed to execute a successful exhibition. The course will culminate in a physical exhibit at an NYC location [to be announced].
