Cynthia Reynolds

Cynthia Reynold’s work is guided by the discarded packing materials she salvages from the streets of the city.

From the artist about these found materials: “I am interested in the trust placed in them to protect that which is fragile and/or valued, their transformation from functional necessity to bothersome refuse, and their locus on the boundary between objects and non-object.”

Reynolds explores these spaces by considering their potential meanings using molding/casting, alteration/construction, and installation.
