Christian Bañez
Christian Bañez is a painter and writer based in Brooklyn, NY. Born in Cebu City, Philippines and raised in rural Missouri, he leans into his unique upbringing and blend of different cultures to inform the narrative in his artwork. He has a BS in Public Health from Truman State University and a BFA in Painting from Missouri Western State University. He's completed residencies with the East Coast Asian American Student Union, and New York Academy of Art. Christian has also exhibited his work at the New York Academy of Art, Charlotte Street Foundation in Kansas City, MO, Hawthorn Contemporary in Milwaukee, WI, and Visible Records in Charlottesville, VA.
