Noémie Jennifer Bonnet
Noémie Jennifer Bonnet is a French-born artist working in Newburgh, NY. Her multidisciplinary practice is premised on the idea that the contemplation of mortality—both on a personal and global, cross-species scale—can foster life-affirming redirections beyond the self. She is currently focusing on a series of sculptures made of scavenged bones and driftwood. She has been included in group exhibitions across the United States, including White Columns Online, Flux Factory in Queens, and the Highpoint Center in Minneapolis. She has permanent public murals in three locations in Providence, Rhode Island. She is the creator of "Conservation Lab," a weekly column on art conservation published by Vice in 2016. She holds an MFA from CUNY Hunter College.
